At WheelieOneLocks (WOL) our mission is to bring about global awareness for spinal cord injury and disability awareness because millions of people worldwide need to use wheelchairs for various reasons.

The annual occurrence of spinal cord injury (SCI) in the U.S. is estimated to be approximately 54 cases per million population, or approximately 17,000 new SCI cases each year. And SCIs only account for a fraction of wheelchair users.

As of 2016, the number of people in the U.S. facing the challenges associated with SCI is estimated to be approximately 282,000 (with a range from 243,000 to 347,000).  With this number on the rise the need for education and awareness is equally on the rise. We want to bridge the gap between wheelchair life and the general public.
